Central US Land Trusts Meeting
January 25-26, 2008
Lied Lodge and Conference Center | Nebraska City, NE
Have you ever wanted to share an idea with a colleague, collaborate on a project, or simply had a desire to talk with someone in your situation? You are invited to join colleagues from your region to learn about land conservation, network with other land conservation professionals, and discuss collaborative opportunities for the Central U.S. Region. Friday will begin with round table discussions varying from board development, to advocacy, to protecting working landscapes. Friday’s session will include a discussion of the common elements that bring your land trusts together and an action plan for establishing collaboration opportunities to further the mission of land protection in your region. We have arranged to eat dinner together with new and old friends and will end the evening with a bonfire.
Saturday will feature an all-day seminar on capacity building—specifically fundraising planning that contemplates a diversity of revenue streams and strategies to make that plan sustainable.
