If you are a board member of a land trust, this Challenge is an opportunity for you and your fellow board members to become part of a national community of dedicated conservation leaders working together to strengthen land trusts and advance a shared vision for local land protection.

If you are a staff member of a land trust, this Challenge is an opportunity to get your board members more involved with the land trust community in America and take action on national issues that affect your local land protection work.

The Challenge

If 50% or more of your land trust's board members become individual members of the Land Trust Alliance with a gift of $35 or more, your land trust will be recognized and celebrated nationally.

Your land trust’s logo will appear prominently on:

  • this web site
  • the front inside cover of Exchange, the national journal of land conservation

And you will receive prominent recognition at the next National Land Conservation Conference: Rally 2007 in Denver.

With your support as an individual member, the Alliance will work to:

  • Make the new conservation tax incentive permanent
  • Prepare land trusts for accreditation
  • Increase public support for private land conservation
  • Help save special places for future generations

Your investment in the Land Trust Board Member Challenge provides leadership for the national land trust community.
